Research has shown that early access to treatment results in better outcomes following a motor vehicle accident. ICBC introduced a care-based insurance model in 2019 to improve recovery times and remove barriers to access care. Individuals are pre-approved for 25 physiotherapy treatments within the first 12 weeks of the date of the accident causing an injury.
